Equestrian report

Ruapehu College attended Wanganui Interschool show jumping held at Horrock Park , W anganui recently. Four riders attended with five horses to make their team: Amanda Garland in the seniors (with The Shadow); Cameron Morris (Frautein and Summer) in the juniors; Rebbecca Clarke (Grumpy); Amanda Garland (Steffon Sky) also in the juniors. The juniors rode against 95 riders. Cameron Morris with his horse Frautein was placed lst in Tam 3, 2nd accumulator and 2nd in one round stakes; Amanda Garland came 3rd in one round stakes. They each rode three rounds each. There were 30 colleges from the lower North Island competing from as far away as Napier, Wellington and New Plymouth. The Ruapehu team was placed 7th. The next event will be at Nga Tawa for Inter-school ODE.
