Batons Up success for Kindergarten

Over $1000 was raised at the Ohakune Kindergarten' s recent Batons Up night, held at the Ohakune Primary School hall. The event was well supported, according to Ohakune Kindergarten head teacher Yvonne Triggell, who said local businesses and individuals came to the fore once again with donated goods for the $2 and $5 tables. Mrs Triggell made special mention of Brian Hemara and Oscar Kohu for their part in preparing the hangi that was enjoyed by all. The monies raised will be added to the kindergarten' s general funds, for future extensions to the building.
