Twilight gala resounding success

Last Thursday ' s twilight gala at Raetihi School was a resounding success, according to organisers. Around $5000 was raised, the proceeds going towards future schooi projects. No single project has been selected as yet. Attendance numbers were slightly down compared to previous years due chiefly to the bitterly cold conditions experienced. Food, cakes, produce, plants and school uniforms 1 were some of the many items on sale at the various

stalls. Raetihi businesses once again contributed generously with goods for the ever-popular quick fire raffles. A hangi layed by parents was another crowd-pleaser that had young and old alike queueing for up to 30 minutes.
