New gymnastics committee elected

The AGM of the Turoa Tumblers gymnastic club was held on 1 5 February in the senior studies block at Ruapehu College. The meeting was told through the coach's report of last year's successes which included a New Zealand representative as well as numerous medals in regional and national competrtions. The President' s report commented on the success of the club's sponsorship by Wanganui Motors. The club received new uniforms and gear bags and other donations throughout the year. He also called for new parents to help with coaching the children as the existing coaches neared retirement. Although down on numbers this year the club is again looking forward to a bumper season. can come to the Ruapehu College gymnasium on Tuesday afternoons, 3.30-5pm or call Mark Hays 385-8548 (AH) for details. The club elected the following committee: president Mark Hays; treasurer Graham Lind; Committee: Lyn Abbott, Terina Abbot, Barbara Deadman, Laureen Hays - coaches rep, John Laurenson, lan Mackay, Margaret Bennellick and Warwick Hays.
