"Well keep you running"—Koi Young

& Sons tyres and mechanical repairs.

Out on the diggers

Tyre service Koi Young & Sons Limited's new tyre service promises to

be a boon for almost anyone who uses a vehicle that has wheels with air and

rubber. They offer a 24hour call-out service, for all kinds of vehicles from private cars to trucks, tractors and heavy machinery. Top tyre brands

including Goodyear, Kumho, Michellen and Bandag are available. And they can fit tyres for cars from vintage to the latest high-perform-ance cars. Their service truck

is available for calls to service farm machinery, trucks, logging - all machinery fleets. It's fully geared up for the work, including for skidders and loaders. It carries

reduction wheel-nut wrenches and portable hydraulic tyre bead breakers. "This means down-time for an operator is minimal. We aim to provide an efficient and effective tyre service for everybody and anybody." Within Ohakune and during normal business hours they offer a free pick-up and delivery service. There's also an afterhours call-out service available 24hours a day. For the tyres service as well as the mechanical workshop there is a courtesy car available so you don't have to walk or wait. Back in New Zealand he worked for Feilding Tyres in Wanganui for a time. Deciding to move back to Ohakune (where he lived for nine years as a youth) he took a job driving trucks for Koi Young & Sons.

Mechanically sound The company's new mechanical service is run by diesel mechanic Max Herewini, who has experience in working on a huge range of engines. Specialising in heavy machinery, the mobile service is from a fully mobile workshop which means Max can service any type of machinery on-site. At the workshop, they are open and certified for car Warrant of Fitness checks and do lubes and oil changes as well as mechanical repairs. Max is an A Grade diesel mechanic competent to work on road ranger gearboxes as well as dninp- diesel enmne renowerinv.
