Council cash tagged for Mainstreet
Waimarino's subdivision reserves funds should in part be put towards the Mainstreet programme, many Waimarino Community Board members believe. Chairman Colin Webb said at their meeting on Thursday that the council should be applying now to the Local Government Commissionforpermission to spend some of the reserves cash in hand on the Mainstreet project. However not all were in favour of this course of action immediately. Board member John Compton moved that they should review the allocations made by the previous Waimarino District Council (WDC), which were not carried out.
