Raetihi stock sale report

A mixed age and 2-tooth ewe fair was held at the Raetihi Sale Yards last Thursday. Top price for 2tooth ewes was paid for Kennedy's yarding at $64.20, with other good lines selling from $46 to $50, with poorer lines selling for $35 to $40. Mixed age ewes sold well with top prices between $40 and $47. One pen of 5-year old from Manson Estate sold for $46.20 and another pen from I. S. Todd sold for $43. Six year olds sold fetched $31-$38. A large number of farmers and buyers attended the sale with good results. Buyers coming from Hawkes Bay, Waikato, Wanganui and Manawatu.
