Pluck cup lost

A ladies team from Waverley Bowling Club took the Pluck Cup off the Raetihi Bowling Club local ladies team last week. The local team had won the cup in Wanganui the previous week. Local team supporters and some interested spectators from Ohakune Bowling Club were at the bowling green to watch the game. After a very even game the Waverley ladies won by 17-16 taking the cup back to W averley , leaving the local team a little disappointed at not retaining the cup but very happy forthe Waverley team. Next week a team of ladies from Ohakune will be visiting Waverley to try their luck at the cup.
