Waiouru Pricecutter aims to brings old fashioned service back to shopping

Old-fashioned service and value for money make a welcome return to shopping at W aiouru' s new Pricecutter, replacing the former AGI 4-Square Discounter at the community centre. Manager of the AGI group, John Peden, said he made the transition to Pricecutter after becoming disillusioned by 4-Squares so-called coupon 'specials' that were invariably cheaper through other stores and left him with up to six different brands of the same line sitting on the shelves. Since changing over Mr Peden said 90% of all his grocery lines have been reduced in price. He intends to offer many more in-store specials for his valued Waimarino customers on top of the advertised lines. One of the immediate effects of the change is that the store will no longer accept the Four Square coupons. It is Mr Peden' s ai'm to reduce the number of slow selling lines and concentrate on providing

the more popular lines at better prices. In addition Pricecutter will provide discounts in the form of giveaways on all purchases in excess of $ 1 00, with the exception of liquor and cigarettes. Aesthetically the store' s new paint work and logos conform to the Pricecutter nationwide chain of stores, while customers will also notice big changes in service. Mr Peden will re-introduce free home delivery within Waiouru and intends to cater to the needs of his customers to the best of his ability. Customers wanting specialty items or requiring lines presently unavailable, need simply request them to be included in one of the twice weekly grocery deliveries to the store. Mr Peden points out that "although the Waiouru Pricecutter is not and never wil be a Pak'n'Save or a New World, when it comes to service and a fair deal, we aim to beat our competitors every time"
