The 75th anniversary of Armistice Day - the end of the Great War 1914-18, was commemorated by a handful of veterans and supporters in Raetihi on Thursday. The siren sounded at 11am and the small contingent observed one minute's silence and a brief flag-raising ceremony before breaking ranks.
