Mountain closed for 1993

Turoa and Whakapapa opened for business for the last day of the 1993 ski season on Sunday, with around 900 people taking advantage of spring snow. Mt Ruapehu turned on a fine day, with around 600 skiers taking to the slopes of Whakapapa in bright sunshine and light winds. Around 300 visitors patronised Turoa Ski Resort after high winds closed the field on Saturday.
