Riff-Raff no rubbish

Appearing at the Oasis Hotel, Waiouru, Saturday 13 November (see ad later this edition.) Even though only formed in April 1993, Riff Raff already has better credentials than most bands around. Individually these boys " can boast of having travelled all of New Zealand several times, touring experience in Australia and Europe as well as a wealth of studio experience and a long list of music releases. It is be-

cause of these reputations that the band already has a string of regular venues to their credit and is proving to be a very popular band wherever they appear. They have selected classic rock material from the last 30 years for their live repertoire, they don't worry about glamour posing or technical wizardry, they just play the songs the way they were meant to be enjoyed. A full-on, no holds barred, rock band.

Also gone are the 'rockstar' trappings that some bands insist on. No giant mega sound-system that is going to shake the bottles off the shelves, no over-the-top lightshow that takes up more stage than the band, no 20-piece road crew insisting on free drinks all night, just three guys and a straight, simple, honest show that is guaranteed to pack the dance floor.
