There are only three weeks to go before the end-of-year tournament and most pairs seem to be working on fine-tun-ing their calls and responses. Other pairs, so rumour would have it, seem to be trying to adjust their handicap to their best advantage. .Only time will tell. On Wednesday 27 October the north-south competition was won by John Eades and Judith Hollyer with 62.88%, well ahead of second place getters Lauretta Eades and Pauline Le Noel on 47.68%.
