Plunket appeal

Funds collected in the Waimarino during the recent Plunket appeal were on a par with last year's total. Donations totalling just over $1800 were collected in the door-to-door appeal carried out in Ohakune and Raetihi townships. Separate totals were: Ohakune, $1270; Raetihi, $547. Organisers say late

donations may carry the total a little higher. Donations may still be left at the BNZ Bank and Ohakune Photo Pharmacy, or Price's Pharmacy in Raetihi. The money collected is deposited into general funds and benefits both communities. Raetihi and Ohakune co-ordinators thank all those people who supported the appeal.
