• Ohakune Police arrested a man in connection with an early morning smash-and-grab at the Rendezvous Dairy in Goldfinch Street, and the intentional damage to glass doors at the Coyote Bar and Grill at the Ohakune Junction. He was remanded in custody to appear before the Wanganui District Courton Tuesday 26 October. The offender was currently out on bail and broke curfew to commit the offences. • Overnight Friday, a chalet in Miro Street, Ohakune was entered and a ghetto blaster-type stereo stolen. The occupants were asleep in an adjoining room and failed to hear the offender who entered through an unsecured window. • Police are following positive leads into the identity of a person who drove off without paying for petrol from the Ohakune T yres and Energy Centre on Friday.
