Assault on female
Neville Lauese, 35, prison inmate of Kaitoke, was remanded in custody to appear for sentence in Wanganui District Court on 28 October after pleading guilty to assaulting a female on 8 August. Court heard how Cara Joy Marie Hudson, who was pregnant at the time, was punched about the head and, when she attempted to escape through a bathroom window, she had been dragged back and bashed against the bathroom wall before being kicked about her head and body. Lauese had been jailed for six months in the Wanganui District Court earlier this week for a similar type of assault on another female. Counsel: Gary Johnson.
