Train plans
From Page5 Early Sunday morning Ka942 will take the Ohakune train to Taumarunui where the Auckland passengers and Ka945 will join them. Both Ka's will then form a dou-ble-header which will then run to National Park. From there it will go back to Raurimu for a second run up the Raurimu spiral, providing many excellent photo opportunities, before it continues on to Ohakune. 'This will be a sight that has not been seen in the area for over 30 years,"said Mr Norling. Many people will be in Ohakune for the occasion with accommodation at a premium. In addition to train passengers, there is expected to be an estimated 1000 people making their own way to Ohakune for the occasion.
