Raetihi's 100 year history in print
Pleased to be perusing the just-released Raetihi Centennial Booklet are centennial committee members Harry Brown, at left, and Colin Webb. Presold copies of the booklet are being sent out to buyers now, and others will be available for sale at $12 at a special function, starting 8pm, at the Waimairno Club. A video of the January centennial celebration weekend, shot by eX'Raetihi resident Terance Garmondsway, will be shown on the night, with orders taken for copies at $45 each. Mr Webb and Mr Brown both said they were very pleased with the quality ofboth the video and the j booklet. The committee, which also included Dorothy Battersby, Jessie ' Seaman and Jo Robinson, gathered and edited material for the booklet mostly prepared by various Raetihi clubs, organisations and established families. Publishing the booklet was carried out by the Ruapehu Bulletin.
