King Country Energy staff have been asked by some of their Waimarino customers when they are going to get their Powerco shares, following the share giveaway by the Wanganui-based supply company. KCE general manager Peter Till said a couple of King Country customers had phoned to say they hadn' treceived their shares yet while their "friend in Wanganui has got theirs." Power shares
From Page 3 power company when it was privatised, which will decide after one year how the ownership will be settled. The trust will either give away shares to customers, as Powerco is doing now, or retain all or part of the ownership and pay out dividends to customers each year. Parts of the Waimarino are supplied by Powerco, and parts are serviced by King Country Energy.
