Bridge

There was a small turnout of players for Bridge on Wednesday 25 August with 20 boards played over four tables and this included three visitors to the club. Handicapping saw all pairs in the north-south direction changing places. Gordon and Jenny Mottram finished in first place with 52.62% and in second place were Elaine Goldfinch and Trish Gilbert with 51.43%. Before handicapping they were in third and fourth places respectively. The east-west competition was more stable with only third and fourth places changing after handicapping. In first place were Les Bums and Jim Cranston with 56.18% and in second place with 55.03% were Pauline Le Noel and Sarah Hamlin. The previous week's north-south winners were Rita Kaiwhare and Pauline Le Noel and in second place were Judith Hollyer and Jack McLean with 59.10% and 57.38% respectively. The eastwest competition was won by Jim Cranston and

Elaine Goldfinch who, scored 64.62% while Ron Martin and Heather Cranston scored 55.88% to take second place.
