Storm knocks ski radio

The storm on Sunday brought good news to the ski fields with more snow, but temporarily stopped Ski FM's broadcast. Rain worked its way into the transmitter hut reminding the crew that electronics and water don't mix. Technicians travelled from Wellington to resolve the problem and Ski FM went back on air' at 5.55 pm Sunday night. "The signal to Ohakune is running at half steam at the moment," said station manager Mark Thomson "but we will be back to full strength by the weekend and we apologise for any inconvenience."
