Opening squash tournament

Ohakune are holding their first tournament open to outside clubs this weekend. The tournament is sponsored by King Country Long Run and is open to players with a New Zealand grading of C or below. President John Laurenson is pleased with the entries received with a

full quota of 80 entries. Over half of the entries are from outside the district with entries from as far north as Mount Maunganui and as far south as Wanganui. Included in the entries is 1980 founding president Geoff Peach who now resides in Morrinsville. Any members of the public wishing to see good competitive squash are more than welcome with games being played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
