• A red Avanti 10speed boy's bicycle was stolen from behind Price Cutters 4-Square in Seddon Street, Raetihi, on Sunday 25 July. Police enquiries are continuing. • Overnight Tuesday 27 July, the garages pertaining to the Karioi Forestry Head Quarters were broken into. A Suzuki 4-WD farm bike was stolen from one of the garages, then ridden into the Karioi Forestry block. Offenders made it through to Rangataua Road where local Police were unable to follow the trail. Ohakune Police would be interested in hearing from anyone who may have any information concerning the matter. • A pair of K2 TRX skis and poles were stolen from outside the Giant Cafe at Turoa Ski Resort on Sunday 25 July. • An electric fence unit was stolen from a farm property on Lakes Road, Ohakune, on
Thursday 29 July. • A marauding dog that attacked and killed four sheep in a paddock close to Ohakune on Thursday was destroyed by police. This is the second incident of dog attacks on stock in as many weeks. Ohakune Police remind dog owners that their animals must be adequately restrained at all times. • A 41-year old male was arrested in Raetihi on Thursday 29 July, for offences committed in Wanganui. The man was
charged with threatening and assaulting his partner. • A man was assaulted and robbed of his leather jacket outside Turoa Lodge, Ohakune, last Friday night. Two local men in their 20's were arrested and taken into custody in Wanganui to face charges. • A regional traffic squad was involved in policing the King Country -Waimarino area on the weekend, cracking down on drink-drivers. Seven people were apprehended in the Ohakune area and face charges of driving with excess breath alcohol levels.
