Higher Council savings

• What a one-eyed outfit the Ruapehu

District Council is. It puts 16 people out of work and at the same time advertises for a contract administrator, another one to join the highly paid heads of the Ruapehu District Council. The loss of jobs will be devastating to most of the people involved but I doubt the Ruapehu District Council heads will lose any sleep over it. If savings are to be made, it should be by bringing the wages of these highly over-paid top echelon down to a realistic level and then question how many of them are needed at all. The Ruapehu District Council seems to think that they are a power unto themselves and they can and will, do just what they like without having to explain to anyone.
