Pre-school supervisor leaves
An afternoon tea was put on for Kelley Frederick on Friday 18 June, being her last day as supervisor at Raetihi Pre-school. "I had a wonderful time at the pre-school while I was here but I have left for a position in a child-care centre in Levin," KellEy Frederick said. Both groups of preschool children and their parents met and each brought a plate to farewell Kelley who was then presented with a card and a gift. On Thursday 17 June a young boy who, was not going to be present at the farewell gave Kelley a cake and said goodbye. Kelley will be moving back to Palmerston North and each day she will commute to Levin to the child-care centre which caters for children from birth to five-year-olds. Kelley will be second in-charge with eight staff under her and there is the prospect of her training for manager in a couple of years. Kelley said she is very sad to go but she felt that she could not let the opportunity pass by.
