Wanganui Marist beat Ohakune 55-5 in the main game at Raetihi. New Zealand representative Pauline O'Leary scored 4 tries and Vicky Pearce showed her potential by scoring 2 tries. The other try scorers for Marist were: number 8 Mary Lahi; full-backs Dianne Watkins and Caren Steed. Rachel Munn converted 5 tries taking the score to 55.
