Waiouru Reserves heavily armoured against Raetihi
by

The Raetihi senior reserve team were robbed of victory by a more determined Waiouru Armoured team who scored 2 tries in the final 10 minutes to secure a well deserved victory. The game was evenly matched and saw both forward packs going hard for 80 minutes. However, fitness was a fault with the Raetihi team and this was obvious in the last 15 minutes of the game. Players who were impressive for Raetihi were: forwards - flanker Peter Arahunga, until injured and Boy-Boy
Cribb, who was later awarded player of the day; backs - winger Brian Ruki, with some awesome defence; Sean Parr, at second five and Bully Gillsinsen, with some sharp kicking. Try scorers for Raetihi were Adam Hinana, Pini Wilson and Sean Parr. Bully Gillsinsen kicked 1 penalty and 2 conversions. The pick of the Waiouru Armoured team were number 10 Saully and number 8 Adam Hoffman, who scored two tries. Next week Raetihi will play Utiku Old Boys at home.
