The annual Raetihi versus Ohakune 'Log of Maire' Golden Oldies rugby match was played in Raetihi on Sunday 16 May. Raetihi beat Ohakune 30-24. Though the game was played in very wet conditions it was a good, even, fast game. The ball handling skills were good considering the wet conditions. The half-time score was 1410 to Ohakune but Raetihi fought back in the second-half to win 30-24. Try scorers for Raetihi were B Telusi, G Grossart, R Carmichael, B Cribb and M McGrath. M McGrath converted one try and T Henare kicked one penalty. R

Wilson, A Reuben and N Brown. A Reuben converted two tries. A Reuben and N Brown played good games.
