The stock sale in Raetihi on Thursday 13 May saw store lambs sell on a buoyant market with the better lambs selling for up to $35.50 and medium to good from $28 to $33. Lighter sorts fetched up to $25.50 with very small tail-end lambs making $17. A line of ewes sold for $34.70. A few' of the lambs stayed

local but most of them went to either Taihape or Wanganui. Considering the cattle market at present a small yarding of cattle sold relatively well. Eight mixed-age cows RWB made $505, medium 18-month steers made $490, weaner steers sold for up to $400 with heifers selling for up to $270. Most of the cattle stayed local.
