Luxury made easy
A little luxury is within everyone's grasp with a brand new accommodation package offered by Mt Ruapehu's Grand Chateau Resort Hotel. The Grand Chateau has released two "Skiriffic" holidays, which include accommodation, discounts on a range of goods and services, and special bonus features. Grand Chateau general manager Chris Griffin said his aim is to promote affordable ski holidays. "Here at Mt Ruapehu you can enjoy some of the world's best skiing and a top resort hotel that has become part of New Zealand's heritage, all within a reasonable holiday budget," he said. The packages are for three or five nights and are available from Sunday to Thursday throughout the season. They feature premium accommodation for two adults with a limit of two children staying free if sharing with parents and discounts on mountain transport, golf and other purchases, plus an invitation to the weekly cocktail party and wine tasting evening. Another feature is the complimentary all-you-can-eat breakfasts for all adult guests. Mr Griffin said the Grand Chateau 's reputation for apres ski entertainment and good food is being upheld this season. "Our two restaurants are open, the T-Bar is humming, there's plenty for the kids to do, and we've got a great programme of live entertainment." There are many alternative activities including golf, scenic walks on the many tracks in the Tongariro National Park.
