The construction of this amazing log house at Southridge is just one of a number of projects taking place in and around Ohakune, as the area moves into another expansion phase. Ohakune Log Builders are building the house for a local man, and say the increasing number of projects being undertaken is testimony to Ohakune's growth. Log houses are becoming a popular alternative in the area, fitting in well with the alpine environment.
