Turoa partners with Diet Pepsi
Turoa Ski Resort and Pepsi Cola Bottlers New Zealand have signed a major five year sponsorship deal. The agreement makes the Diet Pepsi brand one of the principal sponsors of Turoa Ski Resort. Pepsi marketing manager Jenny Young said there is a great deal of synergy between the healthy active profile of skiing and Diet Pepsi. "A lot of young active people, and women in particular, enjoy Diet Pepsi, They also enjoy skiing, so Turoa is a natural market for us." "This sponsorship will allow us to get closer to our consumers and support their interests - we feel that's very important." As part of the sponsorship deal, Diet Pepsi will have naming rights over a three-race junior series. The 1993 season races will be held on 24-
25 July, 28-29 August with the final on 2-3 October. "We are very excited about this sponsorship. It provides us with a great opportunity to
promote Turoa alongside a leading international brand. The five year term will enable us to form a strong partnership, working together to promote both Turoa and Diet Pepsi," said Turoa Ski Resort
general manager, Angus Grimwade. With such common interests Pepsi are committed to a long association with Turoa and cementing a relationship which is mutually beneficial, said Ms Young.
