Night life begins

The band Hard Charme was born while David Sullivan, Damian Walsh and Reid McLaughlin were 5 th formers at Cambridge High School. In late 1991 Henry Penny and Matthew Bosley joined to complete the present line-up. In December 1991 the band entered 'The Zaks Waikato Band Awards', they becarne finalists in the 'Best Newcomers' and 'Best Overall Band' categories. The band had to withdraw due to Damian suffering from an arikle injury and Matthew suffering a crushed arm. By December the band was playing regularly be-

tween Auckland and Hamilton as well as Napier and Taupo. Throughout 1992 the band played various pubs, clubs social functions and school balls. Hard Charme will play at Hot Lava this Saturday 8 April.
