Not content with being the winners and also runners-up in the Masters Games bowls last month the local Women's Bowling Club went on to take further honours at the 'Champion of Champions' event last week, run by the Wanganui Centre. Results: Fours - Vi Brown, R Kaiwhare, C McLeod, N Burrows; Junior Singles - Ngaire Burrows; 'B' Pairs - C McLeod and Merrilyn George. This was a remarkable result for a country club against their 'town' competitors. The winners are being treated to a celebration luncheon on Thursday 18 March.
