Sports course
The local Waimarino Community Sports Education and Development Trust has taken up the challenge of acting as delivery agent for the successful 'Volunteer Involvement Programme' (VIP) Course of Seminars (see advertisement). In conjunction with the Hillary Commission for Recreation and Sport
the local Sports Trust has been able to recruit many quality speakers to run the seminars which are a result of the consultation and research by the commission into the community needs of volunteers for administrative training. Various modules deal with all aspects of running a club successfully and efficiently and all
seminars will be held at Ruapehu College on every Tuesday and Thursday evening in March (except 30 March) from 7 -9pm. "They will be an excellent source of up to date information and are seen to be one of the most beneficial ways of ensuring the sporting future of the Waimarino," said Glyn Hubbard the programme co-ordinator.
