Raetihi Senior Citizens Club Meeting

by

David of RIC

A very enjoyable luncheon and an entertaining and informative guest speaker marked the Raetihi Senior Citizens meeting on 17 February. A lunch at the Raetihi Hotel, catered by Ray Parr and his staff was attended by 37 members and the group then retired to the usual venue of the Waimarino Club hall in Seddon Street for afternoon tea and an informative talk given by Elizabeth Mortland, the co-ordinator of the REAP unit in Taihape. Her explanation of the operation of the Rural Education organization and its many topics of interest was well received by the club members. The club's next major event is a bus trip to join the Taumarunui Senior Citizens at their meeting, on Thursday the 1 1 March. This should be a pleasant occasion and the secretary reminds members that the bus will be leaving Raetihi at 9am on that day. It's easy to get your ad into the Ruapehu Bulletin
