Raetihi resident Jessie Seaman receives the 1992 Raetihi Citizenship award from Waimarino Community Board ehairman Colin Webb recently. Mrs Seaman was nominated for the annual award by an anonymous person, for the "selfless service she has provided for the aged and infirm of Raetihi. Mrs Seaman spends her own time and resources on transportation, meais and associated activities in assisting pensioners of the Raetihi pensioner flats. Mrs Seaman also provided local input into both Maori and Pakeha social affairs within the township of Raetihi as well as having compieted many years of service to the X-ray unit of the Waimarino Hospital," said her nominator.
