A&P for life
BY
DavidoftheRIC
At a recent meeting of the Waimarino A&P Association, long-time member and patron Harry Brown of Raetihi was recognised with life membership for his service to the Association and the rural community. Harry joined the association in 1946 and served three years as president from 1959 to
1961. Still active in organising show-days, he admits to taking things much easier since becoming patron some years ago. "It's quite an honour to be so well thoughtof," comments Harry, who adds that he now hopes to take the job a little easier, but will still be very active in the association' s affairs.
