PUBLIC NQTICES IMPORTANT NOTICE TOALL HOME MILK DELIVERY CONSUMERS Change In Milk Tokens A hew improved home delivery service is planned for 1 November 1992. Although details of the new system cannot be confirmed due to legal action currently being taken by the Milk Vendors Association, we hope we will shortly be in a position to tell you all about the new home delivery service. To coincide with the new service and with the previously publicised bottled milk price increase (from 70 cents to 75 cents per 600ml bottle), new milk tokens will need to be used from 1 November onwards for the purchase of home delivered milk. For many years milk tokens have been the preferred payment option for obtaining home delivered milk by a large number of householders. The sale and distribution of milk tokens has always been, and will continue to be, the responsibility of individual vendors within their contract areas. Consumers are advised that current milk tokens must be redeemed for milk, or refunded by their current milk vendor before 1 November. Milk vendors will be distributing leaflets to all their customers, providing information on the change to new milk tokens and how to redeem all tokens currently in circulation. A Token Help-line has been set up (freephone 0800-506-455 between 8.30am and 8pm, Monday to Friday) to answer all enquiries. Consumers are urged to telephone the Help-line or their milk vendor if they have any concerns whatsoever. CDP and its contracted vendors look forward to providing consumers with a new and improved home delivery service and wishes to thank all current home delivery consumers for their valued support. Remember: Token Help-line 0800-506-455 (freephone). Note: This notice does not apply to consumers in the Hutt Valley or Wainuiomata currently usingstainless steel tokens. After 1 November these tokens can still be used but an extra 5 cents is required to meet the new price of bottled milk. New copper tokens worth 75 cents will be availabie from 1 November through the usual token outlets.
