Wednesday 23 September saw twenty boards played over five tables. First and second place getters in the north-south direction at the end of play, swapped places after handicapping with John Eades and Les Bums finishing first with 58.53% and Ron Frew and Brian Eades in second place with 56.83%. The east-west competition was more clear-cut with Lauretta Eades and Pauline Le Noel retaining their lead and finishing with 63.60%. Bill Te Karu and Jenny Mottram scored 58.73% to hold on to their second placing
