New police officer arrives
The Waimarino Police ranks have been boosted by the arrival of Constable Graeme Rumble from Otahuhu. He is filling the place left by Detective Meredith, who left in December. The detective 's position was changed into one of constable. Hopefully by early November Ohakune will have another constable. Sergeant Evans said Constable Brian Wilson is expected to take the Community Liaison position, leaving a vacancy at Ohakune. The position is being advertised now, Mr Evans said.
