Children dance for seniors
Raetihi Senior Citizens Club hosted a large contingent from the Taumaranui Senior Citizens Club to a lunch on the 23 September. The affair, catered by John Nation, was said to be excellent by the guests. Entertainment later was a children's dance troupe performing the Huia. All the children taking part were between four and nine years of age and all were the greatgrandchildren of the late Eva Hansen, a long-time member of the Club until her recent death. Credit
goes to Buddy Haitana and Colleen Hansen who coached the troupe. Visitors enjoyed an afternoon tea before leaving for home again, each with a complimentary bag of Raetihi grown carrots. Raetihi Senior Citizens Club wish to thank Nita, Margo and Barbara for their great efforts in serving all the assembled guests. The Raetihi Senior Citizens Club welcome new members.
