Life after remakes?

The Ohakune band scene has risen from the ashes once again thanks to Paul Beckett's Hot Lava nightclub. Responsible for the ascent was seven piece band Supergroove - average age seventeen - who proved on
Wednesday night that there is life after remakes, and that originality in music still exists. The band was buzzing with enthusiasm and energy which infected the healthy sized crowd and got most people grooving and a few suicidal stagediving.
The Supergroove sound is a cocktail of soul, jazz, dance with a touch of sampling thrown in for good measure. Good news on the upcoming music front; Kantuta had such a great time when they played here last month that they're coming back soon.
