Bridge on Wednesday 26 August was played in a Howell movement for four pairs and a total of twenty-one boards were played. Winners for the evening were Tephany Bennett and Les Burns who scored 58.41%. Second place getters were Sarah Hamlin and Margaret Cornwall with a very creditable 56.14%. Also scoring well were Glenda Whale and Elaine Goldfinch who took third place with 50.76%. Fourth* place went to Mark Hays and Bob Tumataroa whose consistent play and conservative bidding scored them 45.21%.
