WELLER CLUB PRESIDENT Sunday 30 of August saw B Grade games played in Ohakune. Teams from Ohakune, Waiouru and Wanganui (Gonville 1 and 2). Luckily for all there was a break in the weather which enabled Wanganui's teams to travel through. Results for the day : Ohakune v Gonville 2 (Ohakune names first); Merv Fielding beat Steve Lace 2421, Colin Cranston beat Bert Rolston 21-1, Lois Lind beat Janine Chalk 24-21, Evania Renee lost to Elaine Duncan 11-21, Colin and Merv beat Steve and Bert 21-4, Lois and Evania beat Janine and Elaine 21-6, Merv and Evania beat Steve and Janine 21-6, Colin and Lois beat Bert and Elaine 21-0. Ohakune won 7 games to 1. Ohakune v Gonville 1 ; Merv Fielding lost to Paul Rayner 821 , Colin Cranston beat Bryce Smith 21-12, Lois Lind beat Denise Wella 21-15, Evania Renee beat Darcy Wilson 219, Merv and Colin beat Paul and Bryce 21-15, Lois and Evania lost to Denise and Darcy 1 7-21 , Merv and Evania lost to Paul and Darcy 23-24, Colin and Lois beat Bryce and Denise 21-1 1 . Ohakune won 5 games to 2. Waiouru v Gonville 2 (Waiouru names first); Sam Tito beat Steve Lace 21-8, Geoff Osikai beat Bert Rolston 21-10, Dianne Whiting beat Janine Chalk 21-18, Shirley Shields beat Elaine Duncan 21-8, Sam and Geoff beat Steve and Bert 21-8, Diane and Shirley beat Janine and Elaine 21-2, Sam and Diane beat Steve and Janine 21-6, Geoff and Shirley beat Bert
and Elaine 21-14. Waiouru won 8 games to 0. Waiouru v Gonville 1 ; Sam Tito beat Paul Rayner 21-9, Geoff Osikai lost to Bryce Smith 6-21 , Diane Whiting beat Denise Wella 21-14, Shirley Shields beat Darcy Wilson 211, Sam and Geoff beat Paul and Bryce 21-8, Diane and Shirley beat Denise and Darcy 21-8, Sam and Diane beat Paul and Darcy 21-5, Graham and Shirley beat Bryce and Denise 21-18. Waiouru won 7 games to 1 . Due to injury to Geoff, which meant a trip by ambulance to Wanganui Graham Lind came to the rescue and played replacement. Thanks for that Graham, never a dull moment. Geoff do as you should, rest up, look after yourself and hang in there. Geoff did play one game and was injured in his singles game.
