The Police beat the Army, Navy and Air Force on Mt Ruapehu recently. The Police Ski Team took the prize at the annual inter-services races held at Turoa on 13 August. Bad weather put off the event for two days, but it was finally

run on the Thursday. The Police team was John Stokes and Paul.Cantwell of Auckland, Brett Murray from New Plymouth, Tony Bowen from Hamilton (team manager), Mike Robb from Glenfield and Paul Valaanderan from Taupo.
