Council nominations trickle in

Just five candidate nominations for election to Ruapehu District Council and community board positions had been received as at midday yesterday. Garrick Workman has been nominated for mayor, Robbie Campbell is standing for Taumarunui ward as councillor, Ken Malcom is standing for National Park, William Morrisey is standing for Ohura

ward councillor and for the Ohura Community Board. Waiouru 's two councillors, Sue Rodger and Bobby Vine are both intending to stand for council again, and the Bulletin understands that three Waiouru Community Board members, Murray Fitchett, Colin Drylie and Doug Montgomery are considering standing for reelection.
