Lotto luck for Raetihi

BY

RIC

Saies from Raetihi's new Lotto outlet are proving popular and punters kept the new Lotto agents busy on Saturday. Proprietors of McLeans book-shop, Raetihi's new Lotto agent, sold the first ticket at 7.30am on Saturday 18 July and in the first half-hour sold $100 worth of tickets. Neil McLean and his wife Margaret have had a busy few days preparing their shop to have Lotto installed. Thursday and Friday 16 and 17 July, Lotto installers and carpet layers were busy setting up the new agency. Friday night was a late night for Neil and Margaret and they thanked Margo Webb and Enid Windle for their valuable help in preparation for an early start on Saturday morning. On Saturday aftemoon Neil said he was pleased with the way his first day of Lotto saies had gone. He was also very pleased the market day had been such a success. In attendance at the shop on Saturday morning was Lesley Clements, Central Region Saies Consultant, who designed the Lotto set up in McLeans bookshop.
