Magpies team are outright winners of the Powderkeg trophy for 1992. They maintained an unbeaten record throughout the league only dropping one point when they drew with College Oldies. Highest goal scoring team for the round was National Park Hotel. Desperateiy close in the finish, they only lost the one game relatively early on to Magpies by 3-2. As it turns out only one extra goal in that game would have been enough for outright victory. The Magpies team consisted of Jon King, Gordie McNie, Duane Dixon, Chris Mosaed and Richard Hamlin. This week teams are invited to play informal games. Contact Jon King for any special requests. Entry forms will be available for the next round from the gym that night. The next round is for the Waimarino United Trophy. Teams are split into two equal divisions based on final placings of the previous round with any new teams also included. At the completion of the round teams of equal placings in the two divisions play off. the two top teams for the trophy.
