BoT elections
By Raetihi principal Neil Hammond On the Hational Radio news this week, concerns were expressed about how schools were finding it difficult to get parents to stand as candidates for the BoT Elections. This does not appear to be the case at our school, with 16 candidates for our Board. I am overwhelmed at this response. It shows that our community is extremely keen on being part of a team whose major concern is the provision of good educational outcomes for our children. Thank you for your vote of confidence. Staffing Maureen Fowlie has been appointed teacher aide to assist Monica Jones in the integration of a disabled child into the school. Two students from a
local Access Programme are participating in a work experience programme in the School from the 22 June to 3 July. The students are Roslyn Bishop who will be assisting Shirley Coogan in her class and Hare Rewi who will be assisting Pine Wilson with his caretaking duties. Tihe Mauriora The first meeting for our beginners class in Maori will begin on Tuesday 14 July at 7.30pm in the Staffroom. Sports day Next Thursday 2 July, 120 Standard 3 to Form 2 students will be participating in an interschool sports day at Taihape.
